We are launching a new education program: the ON Foundation Clinical Fellowship. The ON Foundation offers young clinicians the opportunity for a 1-to-1 experience with two renowned experts in the field of orthoregeneration: Prof. Matthias Steinwachs at Hirslanden Sportclinic in Zurich and Brian Cole MD, MBA at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush in Chicago, IL.
The two famous sports medicine surgeons and pioneers in orthoregeneration will offer a 1 week fellowship at their respective expert centers. The fellows will have the chance of an extensive personal exchange with the experts and their teams, will have a practical understanding of the clinical set-up and logistics of the institutions, will observe patient interactions, follow the decision-making process and attend surgeries. Also, depending on the timing of the Clinical Fellowship, the fellows might get exposed to the ongoing research projects.
During the length of the fellowship, ON will financially support the attendees with a stipend of CHF/USD 2000.
Candidates who wish to apply for the program must fulfill the following criteria: be under the age of 40 (considering age when the application was submitted); be in full command of the English language (hearing, speaking, reading and writing skills); own a valid passport with an expiration date of at least six months after the fellowship; was not elected for another ON support program within the last 24 months; has experience in clinical practice.
The application process takes
place through the myON platform and it includes: a personal motivation letter with
personal area of interest, motivation and future goals in orthoregeneration/ orthopedics;
a recommendation letter written by the head of department or the chair of
department; a CV.
