Clinical Fellowship @ Hirslanden SportClinic with Prof. Dr. Matthias Steinwachs

The ON Foundation offers young clinicians the opportunity for a 1-week clinical fellowship at Hirslanden SportClinic in Zurich. Prof. Matthias Steinwachs, a renowned sports medicine surgeon and a pioneer in cell-based regeneration, is offering unique insights into his work. During the length of the fellowship, ON will financially support the attendees with a stipend of CHF 2'000.

The fellows will have the chance for extensive 1-to-1 exchange with Prof. Steinwachs and his team, understand the clinical set-up and logistics at the institution, observe patient interactions, understand the decision-making process and attend surgeries. Depending on the time available, the fellows might also be exposed to ongoing research projects. 

The fellowship will take place in January 2023 based upon mutual availability decided upon between the applicant and Prof. Steinwachs' office. Successful candidates will arrange their own accommodations and transportation.

Application deadline: May 31, 2022

Information of winner: June, 2022

Eligibility criteria:

  • below age 40 (considering age when the application was submitted)
  • full command of the English or German language (hearing, speaking, reading and writing skills)
  • a valid passport with an expiration date of at least six months after the fellowship
  • some experience in clinical practice
  • not elected for another ON support program within the last 24 months

Clinical Fellowship @ Schön Clinic München Harlaching with Prof. Dr. Markus Walther

The ON Foundation offers young clinicians the opportunity for a 1-week clinical fellowship at Schön Clinic in München Harlaching. Prof. Markus Walther, a renowned foot and ankle surgeon, is offering unique insights into his work. During the length of the fellowship, ON will financially support the attendees with a stipend of EUR 2'000.

The fellows will have the chance for extensive 1-to-1 exchange with Prof. Walther and his team, understand the clinical set-up and logistics at the institution, observe patient interactions, understand the decision-making process and attend surgeries. Depending on the time available, the fellows might also be exposed to ongoing research projects. 

The fellowship will take place between September and November 2022 based upon mutual availability decided upon between the applicant and Prof. Walther's office. Successful candidates will arrange their own accommodations and transportation.

The ON Foundation offers young clinicians the opportunity for a 1-week clinical fellowship at Duke Orthopaedics Arringdon in Morrisville, NC. Samuel B. Adams MD, a renowned foot and ankle surgeon is offering unique insights into his work. During the length of the fellowship, ON will financially support the attendees with a stipend of USD 2'000

The fellow will have the chance for extensive 1-to-1 exchange with Samuel Adams and his team, understand the clinical set-up and logistics at the institution, observe patient interactions, understand the decision-making process and attend surgeries. Depending on the time available, the fellows might also be exposed to ongoing research projects.

The fellowship will take place between September and November 2022 pending COVID restrictions and based upon mutual availability decided upon between the applicant and Dr. Adam's office. Successful candidates will arrange their own accommodations and transportation.
